@Galvin03 Ah of course u can use one 教 only. It's quite common for conversations in daily life to repeat the verb for twice. Repeating the verb makes the sentence sound more natural and somehow show that u r in good terms with the listener. It is not that accurate, but你有空的时候能不能教我中文is more close to Can u teach me Chinese when u'r not busy? And你有空的时候能不能教教我中文is more close to Can u teach me Chinese when u'r not busy please☺️?
There are more circumstances that we can double the verb:
我想听歌/我想听听歌
你去浇下花/你去浇浇花
But it's not always proper to repeat the verb. If u cant make sure whether it's suitable or not, then just one time please.
